Every short link has a QR code. You can download it as a PNG directly from the links table.
- Open your project in the dashboard
- Find the link in the table and click the QR icon
- The PNG file is downloaded immediately
Customization
QR code style is configured at the project level — all links in the project share the same QR design. Open the project and click «QR Code Settings».
| Setting | Description | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Dot color | Color of the QR dots | Free+ |
| Background color | Background color of the QR code | Free+ |
| Style | Shape of the dots: square, rounded, circle, or gapped | Free+ |
| Transparent background | PNG with alpha channel — the background becomes transparent | Free+ |
| Logo (center) | Your logo image in the center of the QR code | Starter+ |
Changes apply immediately to all QR codes in the project. The preview updates live as you adjust settings.
Adding a logo
You can embed a logo image in the center of the QR code. This feature is available on Starter and Pro plans.
- Upload a PNG or JPG image (square proportions work best)
- The logo is automatically scaled to fit the QR center zone
- A white border is added around the logo to keep it readable
QR codes with a logo use High error correction level (30%) so the code remains scannable even with the logo covering part of it.
Transparent background
Enable «Transparent background» to export a PNG where the white background is replaced with full transparency.
This is ideal when you need to place the QR code on a coloured background in a design tool — the QR dots will float directly on your background color.
Make sure the QR dot color has enough contrast against the background you place it on. Light dots on a light background may not scan reliably.
Tips for printing
- Minimum print size: 2 × 2 cm. Smaller than that and some scanners struggle.
- Leave a quiet zone (white margin) of at least 4 modules around the QR code.
- Test the QR code on multiple devices before large print runs.
- Use a short custom domain for the best scan speed — shorter URLs produce less dense QR codes.
